Canon's Birthday

Whew..I am behind on blogging! I almost want to just skip to today and call it good :)

But, we cant jip Canon Lee of a birthday spread!

Canon celebrated his 4th birthday over the whole weekend, staring Friday when he got his Pillow Pet in the mail from Grammy. This was what all his birthday dreams were made of :) He opened the box and sang, "Its a PILLOW, its a PET. Its a PILLOW PET!"  He named his Pillow Pet...Pillow Pet...very creative, I know :)

He has thus far taken the place of his actual pillow, and totes his pajamas or toys or whatever else he can find whenever he can manage to use it for that :)

On Saturday, he celebrated his birthday (in his own mind) at the Kirby's annual Gingerbread Party. Canon believes that their GP is a birthday party for HIM every year :) Next year, we may try to sneak in a birthday cake and call it done :)

On Sunday, Canon got to tell everyone at Bible class that it was his actual birthday. He took every chance he could get, I assure you :)  He then chose to eat at Sticky Fingers for lunch ...which we are way excited about because a few weeks ago we went to McDonald's for Sunday lunch on Ty's birthday.  We had a yummy lunch, and then headed home to a birthday surprise waiting in the living room.

Canon got a BIKE for his birthday ..something he was WAY past ready for, since he has been riding a tricycle for a while with his knees up to his chin :)

One thing we dont quite understand... Ty got the credit for the bike.  Not sure, and totally not fair but either way he has loved getting used to this big boy way of riding :)

Throughout the day, Canon racked UP ...Grandma slipped him some cash (enough to get him a serious Playdough food set) and our neighbor Miss Rita brought him a Toy Story Mr. Potato Head set ...

Just as important to Canon as the presents was the CAKE ...he told us that he wanted a "tree" cake. We werent quite sure what to do with that but after a bit of questioning we determined that he was thinking Christmas tree so we had to make that happen :)

Mr and Mrs Potato Head helped out ...

The kid scored big time :) ...it was a great weekend celebrating our little man and his sweetness :)

Happy Birthday Canon :)
