Little League Dreams

I think that our Little League dreams started when we were told we were to be expecting our first little boy over 5 years ago :)

Since then, we have been biding our time til Ty could sign up for tball to get started. We started our season last week, and had our first game this past Saturday. Daddy fantasies for sure came true on Saturday :)

Mommy has been pulling the practice shift, as daddy works evenings right now. Practices are fun, just as much as the games. Ty gets to run around with boys and girls his age, dress up like a baseball player, hit a ball with a bat without getting in trouble, throw balls at people on purpose ...its all around good times.

I have to admit I am enjoying my "boy mom" role as well :) I am too close to baby popping to be a "team mom" right now (those girls have a TON of work to do for the team!) but I do get to make a team snack, dress my kid up once a week, take pictures and beam when my little guy is SOO cute out there :)

We do have some lessons to learn - as I suppose is a major benefit of team sports, like not calling people "cheaters" when they step in to get closer to the ball, learning when it is your turn to bat or catch the ball, and how to be a good sport :)

Also, that practice is to make us better ...tonight on the way to practice Ty says, "why do we have to practice? We beat the other team last week with just ONE practice!" lol.

Which leads us to a another point ...we arent sure how he determined this to be the case, but according to Ty the "Maroon Monsters" won their game "3 to 1" (best we could tell, even if someone wanted to keep score it was a lost cause). According to him, his team is "awesome."

We are working on humility as well :)

So fun! Hopefully, Luke will be more up for tball in two years than he was for soccer this fall:). We enjoyed cheering Ty on for all five minutes before the jump castle!
