Smiles and Giggles...priceless

Yeah, yeah. I know, you do NOT need to buy expensive game equipment to be able to create great memories for your kids. Video games are NOT a substitute for playing outside and using your imagination...I know.

BUT, I have to admit that the fun we have gotten from this silly little frivolous spend is well worth the money.

Ty has had several friends over this week, and we have all enjoyed with rapt pleasure their fun with this Wii.

Adrian got MarioKart for Christmas ..and we have all had a blast.

No, we dont sit around and play games ALL the time ..but you know, its okay sometimes. And the looks on these boys faces when they are racing and flinging themselves into lava and off waterfalls ..its priceless.

Ty doesnt seem to care that he finishes in last place every time. He will laugh and say, "I am NOT very good at this one!". His sense of self is strong enough that he doesnt get too frustrated. We all cheer like he won if he finishes all three laps :)

He always chooses the Princess..which he does because his daddy makes such a big deal about it every time. He giggles and picks her every time.

You add friends whom you wouldnt normally envision hoolahooping, or skiing, or weighing on Wii Fit in front of your friends while your Mii enlarges and the little annoying voice says "your obese!" (and you all laugh) ..yes, that is true friendship.

True, you dont NEED a Wii to make good memories ..but since we have been blessed enough to have one ..we are making them all over the place!

(And, as a side note, our game budget is closed for the year :)

Too funny! Nick thinks it is hilarious that Ty chooses the Princess everytime just to spite his daddy.:) We love the Wii, don't have one, but love playing with nieces/nephews. We would love to come down and see you guys sometime. Are your schedules packed?

Tell him to put the princess on the motorcycle! I tore IT UP playing against Alan Albach!! The motorcycle flies- easy to control!
